recorded visits in 60 days
WhatsApp and call outbound clicks
of visits ended in an enquiry click
Client Overview
The client is an optical shop in the UAE that sells eyeglasses online and in store. The business wanted more local customers to find the website and contact the shop directly. SEO work began on 15 August 2026.
The Goal
The goal was not traffic for its own sake. It was to bring genuine UAE searchers to the website and turn them into enquiries, which for this business means a WhatsApp message or a phone call.
How the Results Were Measured
Results were tracked in Microsoft Clarity, which records real visitor sessions that can be replayed. The data below covers the 60 days up to 28 October 2026. Outbound clicks to WhatsApp and phone calls were tracked as a smart event, so every enquiry click is counted separately from ordinary page views.
Results Achieved
| Metric | Result |
|---|---|
| SEO started | 15 August 2026 |
| Period measured | Last 60 days, to 28 October 2026 |
| Recorded visits | 517 |
| WhatsApp and call outbound clicks | 165 |
| Visits with an enquiry click | About 32% (165 of 517) |
The recordings in the screenshots show UAE visitors, mostly on mobile phones. They also include visits tagged as coming from ChatGPT and a referral from Bing, so the traffic is not only from Google.
Proof From Microsoft Clarity
The screenshots below are from the client's Clarity account. The first shows 517 recordings over the last 60 days. The second applies the Outbound click filter and shows 165 recordings. The client's name has been blurred for privacy.

What This Shows
Roughly one in three visitors took the step that matters to a local shop: tapping to chat on WhatsApp or call. An outbound click shows a visitor ready to make contact. It is not a confirmed sale, but it is the clearest enquiry signal a small retail website can measure. This is the same conversion-focused thinking explained in my guide to conversion-focused SEO.
